Short Description

The Registered Dietitian is responsible for the medical nutrition therapy of patient/residents; nutritional assessment, nutrition care plans, patient visitation, inpatient/outpatient diet counseling, consults regarding advance nutrition support, as well as assist in other areas related to the Food and Nutrition Services Department. Under general supervision it is responsible for providing optimal nutritional care to patients, which complies with the Joint Commission and title 22 regulations and the standards of care in the dietetic profession. 

Experience Required

Minimum 3 years clinical experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nutrition/Dietetics required.

License/Certification Requirements

Registration with American Dietetic Association required.
*Proof of required RD License(s) and/or Certification(s) due at time of hire.

Advanced dietician certification through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or Master Degree required
