Short Description

JOB DESCRIPTION - LEAD ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP) - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant 
  
Lead APPs will be responsible to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of clinical practice and organizational systems to drive process improvement, and positive outcomes. This role will support Cooper Experience, team member engagement and education and quality outcomes for the organization.
    
Provide high quality, efficient medical care to patients in the inpatient Hospitalist medical service as an Advanced Practice Provider in collaboration with Hospitalist Attending Physicians, with a goal to proactively move patients through the system to aid hospital throughput.
 
Lead APPs will be responsible for general oversight of the Hospitalist APPs, including education, communication, and engagement, quality initiatives and scheduling of staff.

Experience Required

Minimum of 18 months working as Licensed Advanced Practice Provider.

Education Requirements

Master’s Degree - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant degree is required.

License/Certification Requirements

Board certification Nurse Practitioner or Board certification as Physician Assistant; Active New Jersey License; American Heart Association BLS and CDS/DEA
