The Patient Care Technician provides patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Key responsibilities include observing and reporting patient condition changes, assisting with daily living activities (such as meals and bathing), recording vital signs, measuring fluid intake/output, collecting specimens, and transporting patients within the hospital. They also perform one-on-one monitoring with documentation, demonstrate computer skills, follow physician orders, and use the internal paging and patient call systems. Additional tasks are assigned as needed.

The Lead Technologist performs essential duties in one or more sub-specialties of the Clinical Laboratory in a highly competent manner. In addition, he/she provides technical expertise to staff and others and acts as the Manager’s designee in performing delegated tasks.
