Responsible for general oversight of the CRNAs; including education, communication, quality initiatives and scheduling of staff. Including also functioning as an CRNA performing the required responsibilities.
The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

- Consistently performs sterilization functions in a manner in accordance with written manufacture recommendations that provides sterile, complete and patient ready supplies when needed by user areas
- Maintains accurate sterilization procedure records, checks sterilizer recorder charts for proper functioning of sterilizing temperatures, pressures and time cycles for each load, performs Bowie and Dick Test daily and spore test daily and with each load that contains implantable devices, and immediately reports malfunctions to the SPD supervisor
