This position is responsible for performing the duties and functions in the diet office according to the current departmental policies and procedures and the job flows. Maintains current records of patient diet orders and takes patient calls for room service and guides them through choices in accordance with their diets. Process Room Service customer orders, including patient/family-initiated orders and those patients needing assistance.

This position can work tray line, host/hostess, cafeteria, deli, cashier, salad bar, pizza, etc. Can act as runner and be responsible for restocking and cleanliness. Responsible for - ensuring all stations are ready for operations, including accuracy, speed and having a sense of urgency. This includes setting up next shift for success. - daily cleaning of respective areas and a clean as you go policy to be enforced. - Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfilling compliance with Life, Safety, Fire and Hazardous waste requirements. - Triage/Coordinates and performs direct patient care and clinical flow. - Prepares patients for providers, assisting with exams, assisting provider with suture preparation, carrying out orders, (i.e. various supplies/tests/ X-Rays/dispensing of medications). -

Carries out procedures for department functions, including, but not limited to: - Washing, inspecting, packaging, and sterilizing instruments/equipment - Maintaining accurate monitoring records - Using and interpreting chemical and biological indicators - Performs appropriate cleaning of all sterilization equipment - Assisting OR personnel in locating/reprocessing instruments - Participating in performance improvement activities. Follows established policies & procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians.

- To obtain 2D and 3D echocardiograms with color and Spectral Doppler at the patient’s bedside and in Echo Lab.  - Perform Stress Echocardiograms and Dobutamine Stress echocardiograms as requested. - Assist Cardiologist with TEE and Intracardiac Echo in the Cardiac Cath Lab. - Rotate hospital on call schedule, arriving within 45 minutes of call. #LI-CU1
