The EMS Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for the development/implementation/advancement and evaluation of a comprehensive, regionalized EMS outreach program in the Southern New Jersey Region.
Responsibilities will include educational, marketing and public relation activities relative to Pre-hospital care providers.

The candidate must have the ability to scrub in all specialty areas. Assist surgeons during procedures. Responsible for maintaining sterile technique throughout procedures. Responsible for care and tracking of sterile instruments and supplies; clean-up of room following procedure. Must be able to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and be able to stand for prolonged periods. Must be able to lift instrument trays and supplies up to 50 pounds and t be able to assist patient positioning.

Performs cardiac ultrasound tests (including stress Echo’s and Trans esophageal Echo’s) in accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography and department policies. Ability to comply with ICAEL standards. Demonstrates a full knowledge of cardiac ultrasound practice and the usage of digital ultrasound equipment. Completes daily scheduled tests in the appropriate time frame and to population specific group. Ability to prepare the patient and explain the procedure. Ability to navigate through an electronic medical record including documentation of patient/family education, editing orders and billing.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe. Evaluates patients, implements, and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications utilizing the nursing process. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing and current NJ-RN License required. Specific shift requirements apply.

Responsible for the facilitation and coordination of safe and comprehensive care to all patients in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of emergency rotor wing transport.
Will be engaged in procedure and policy development, performance improvement activities, clinical competency activities and professional and community outreach activities.
