The Phlebotomy Technician is primarily responsible for collecting specimens for laboratory testing in the inpatient setting. Patients may range from newborn through older adults. Team members are assigned to various inpatient units based on volume and are expected to provide timely and accurate service.
Responsible for supporting the ED clinical team in the provision of patient care. This includes environmental readiness, assistance with procedures/care, carrying out specific duties, and effective communication.
