Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required.

- Interviews and screen patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety concerns/contraindication. - Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists. - Begins studies, transfers images, documents patient history and completes studies in GE IDX PACS system. - Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients when necessary. - Excellent organizational skills and communication skills needed to effectively orchestrate daily workflow of patients.

Greets patients and guests utilizing AIDET while providing an individualized excellent patient service experience.  Provides patient support and keeps informed of delays.  Takes appropriate action including offering alternatives.       Performs all registration functions including full registration as well as updating/validating demographics, identification, insurance information and completing verification and obtaining signatures.  Performs and documents patient outreach for messages...
