A nonexempt position responsible for the nursing care under the supervision of physicians, providers and/or registered nurse(s). May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including physical assessments, medication administration, promotion of wellness through patient education and teaching, care of the patient environment and organizational tasks. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Initiates and implements patient teaching plans. Briefly explain the job’s overall objective:
1. Clinical Director of Ambulatory Operations shall provide important leadership and guidance for work that relates to nursing staff in ambulatory care settings as well as bring the ambulatory care nursing perspective to collaborative efforts between Ambulatory Operations and Population Health and others, included but not limited to Professional Development and Quality and Patient Safety. They will also work on projects related to clinical team member training, value-based care and care gap initiatives, chronic disease management and process improvement.

- Responsible for timely completion of medical record reviews for charge integrity.
- Hospital bills are compared against documentation in the electronic medical record to ensure the recovery of all unbilled charges.
- Work with third party auditors to identify and support documentation as requested for medications, implants, treatments, supplies and equipment.
- Identifies gaps in charge capture and works collaboratively with the department to reduce future charge loss.
