The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Work within designated center of excellence to coordinate all clinical aspects of the Cooper Neurlogical Institute’s (CNI) practice, working closely with the treatment team of Neurosurgeons and staff.
Demonstrate a comprehensive clinical knowledge of treatment indications, assist with organizing weekly conferences, protocol follow up, education, and clinical care of patient.
Work collaboratively with physicians to provide community education, first responder education, as well as peer education within Cooper University Health Care.
- Accurately validates prior-to-admission medication lists and takes medication & allergy history from patients.
- Contacts outpatient entities as needed for additional patient medication information.
- Communicates information to the health care team.
- Documents/corrects information in patient medication list in EPIC.
- Accurately and timely prepares all medications, including IV medications,
- under the direct supervision of the pharmacist as per policy and regulation.
- Completes expired medication inspections

Responsible for supporting the ED clinical team in provision of patient care.
This includes environmental readiness, assistance with procedures/care, carrying out specific duties, and effective communication.
Support departmental initiatives including but not limited to patient throughput and customer service initiatives.
Some of the primary duties that GI technicians perform include:
- GI Technicians prepare rooms and equipment before endoscopic procedures and clean up and sterilize after procedures
- Maintaining an inventory of equipment and supplies for endoscopic procedure
- Ensuring equipment functions properly
- Preparing waiting and recovery rooms or procedure suites

The insurance Specialist is responsible for the following:
Registration and Charge Entry
- Register patients into EPIC from for outside physician practices
- Using outside EMRs to verify demographic data (Cerner, Sorian, Epic)
- Check eligibility of patients/update insurance coverage
- Manual charge entry
- Daily work queue edits (registration, interface, documentation)
- Enter charge sessions for outside physician practices
- Communication with coding vendors as needed
- Merging duplicate charts together and send to HIM
- Physician Billing Tracking for manual charge entry
