This position can work tray line, host/hostess, cafeteria, deli, cashier, salad bar, pizza, etc. Can act as runner and be responsible for restocking and cleanliness. Responsible for ensuring all stations are ready for operations, including accuracy, speed and having a sense of urgency. This includes setting up next shift for success. Daily cleaning of respective areas and a clean as you go policy to be enforced. Hosts/hostesses are responsible for requesting two patient identifiers (date of birth and full name of patient) and assisting patient with opening items if required. Hosts/hostesses must ensure condiment boxes are restocked, patient delivery carts are sanitized, etc. COMPLETE ANY OTHER DUTIES/CLEANING AS ASSIGNED Daily cleaning to include: starter stations, , air- curtain refrigerators, host/hostess carts, ice cream freezers, beverage center and any other areas as deemed necessary in patient services. In the retail areas all set-up and breakdown of stations must be cleaned and sanitized between shifts and fully restocked. Everything must be dated and labeled and temps recorded daily – twice per day. All staff members may be asked to perform other tasks and/or temporarily re-assigned to other work areas, as business needs require. Break times are subject to change contingent upon business needs.

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.   1. Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice. 2. Performs technical duties as directed by RN, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care specific to population served and documents appropriately. 3. Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice. 4. Reinforces education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues. 5. Participates in Cooper patient satisfaction initiatives and goals. Participates in the performance improvement activities. Assists in orientation of new hires. 6. Completes annual unit-specific competencies by specified due date. 7. Attends Staff Meetings when available for documents review of staff meeting minutes. 8. Assists in admission, transfers and discharges of patients to and from the unit

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides advanced clinical pharmacy services in various specialties to ensure optimal safe and cost effective. therapeutic regimens in collaboration with respective specialty disciplines. Provide clinical pharmacy services for optimal cost effective patient care.  Reviews physician orders to determine therapeutic rationale and safe patient regimens. Responsible for oversight and monitoring/data collection of patients. Educate health professionals, pharmacy staff, patients and students through in services and written/verbal materials. Provides preceptorship and mentorship to students, faculty and residents. Multidisciplinary collaboration for policies, procedures, guidelines and protocols Collaborates with specialty areas to ensure appropriate drug utilization for cost effective therapy. Assists with cost containment initiatives through formulary review and drug use evaluations. Provides input and supports pharmacy department initiatives in the daily collaboration with the clinical teams. Effectively communicates recommendations and education to pharmacy and the healthcare team.

Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient-related items to their destinations enabling physicians, nurses, technicians, and therapists to perform their duties in an effective manner. Ensures positive patient and customer satisfaction, proper utilization of body mechanics, adherence to policies, procedures and standards established by Hospital, Department and Regulatory Agencies. Acts as a positive role model and team player demonstrating hospital mission and values. Review every medication order and dosage for completeness, safety and efficacy prior to dispensing to an individual patient including routine, stat and investigational orders. Maintain drug information, investigational, educational, cost containment and clinical programs.    

Accurately and timely prepares and dispenses all medications under the direct supervision of the pharmacist. Maintains patient medication profiles.  Ensures all medications are properly charged.
