Assumes primary responsibility for respiratory care treatment. Specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with pulmonary disorders. Implements and manages respiratory therapy treatment plans. Collects and analyzes sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, and other gases. May also measure the lung capacity of a patient to determine if there is impaired function.
Cape Regional Physician Associates is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving residents and visitors throughout Cape May County. Cape Regional Physicians Associates has over 60 primary care providers and specialists, delivering services in multiple locations throughout Cape May County.
Assists the Clinical team in providing indirect patient care, plus has nonpatient care responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Room turnover: includes taking out the trash, cleaning all areas of the OR, including the OR table, making the table up, and mopping the floor
- Gathering equipment, supplies, and instrumentation for surgical cases
- Changing OR tables when necessary
- Room set up: setting up the entire OR room for the next case or first case of the day; this includes making the bed, having necessary equipment in the room positioned appropriately for the case
- Taking specimens to the lab
- Take returns to CSP and put returns away that live in the OR upstairs.

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe. Evaluates patients, implements, and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications utilizing the nursing process. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing and current NJ-RN License required. Specific shift requirements apply.

- Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
- Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrate standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.

Follows established policies & procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.
- Work with CSR, SPD, OR, Storeroom Inventory Control, Vendors and Purchasing to initiate and maintain effective inventory control measures and techniques within the OR.
- Interact with clinical staff, physicians, material management staff and vendors in order to promote and practice inventory control.

This job requires that the candidate adheres to departmental production, fulfills compliance with life, fire and hazardous waste requirements, radiation safety, and infection control requirements. Maintains licensure, participates in CEU’S, performs ultrasound procedures. Participates in clinical and clerical activities.
The recovery specialist possesses the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to competently provide non-clinical assistance and recovery support while maintaining follow-up with participants. The recovery specialist will work with individuals to support and strengthen their capacity to engage in their personal recovery.
