Receives specimens and orders appropriate tests as prescribed; processes samples for laboratory testing using various computer applications. Checks for specimen integrity and proper specimen identification. Prints and distributes reports, answers telephone calls from customers including inpatient nurses/physicians and outpatient clients. Processes specimens for multiple Reference Labs.

Clinical: Provide psychological consultation and psychotherapeutic intervention for individual outpatient health psychology population. Working with medical patients to focus on brief short-term interventions for those struggling with psychological distress related to medical issues.  Work in cooperation with and provide consultation to a multidisciplinary team, provide both brief bedside and traditional OP psychotherapy interventions rooted in evidence-based interventions, including, but not limited to, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based interventions. Lead and/or co-facilitate psychoeducational groups for patients on topics such as insomnia, fear of recurrence and metastatic cancer.   Assessment: Provide psychological testing as appropriate to assess mood, behavior, and cognitive functioning including CDQ, MMSE, MoCA, RBANS, HADS, etc. to assist in assessment to inform treatment.   Secondary Supervision for externship/internship training program: Provide secondary supervision for interns on health psychology rotations of Behavioral Medicine Training Programs   Administration: Maintain timely, comprehensive, clinical notes in EMR; provide psychological reports for assessment cases, obtain NJ permit; report to Director of Behavioral Medicine for administrative and clinical issues including scheduling, case assignment, coverage, etc.   Teaching: Lecture for CMSRU courses as needed; participate in supervision for medical students at CUH as needed for varying coursework at CMSRU. Additionally provide professional presentations as requested (staff in-service, Grand Rounds, GME and medical school). Participation in weekly group supervision and didactic training of Behavioral Medicine trainees.   Research: Participation in on-going Behavioral Medicine research; initiation of new projects, participation in professional presentation at national conferences; work toward publication of Behavioral Medicine research.

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver, who as a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Accessions pathology specimens according to accepted practices.

This position can work tray line, host/hostess, cafeteria, deli, cashier, salad bar, pizza, etc. Can act as runner and be responsible for restocking and cleanliness. Responsible for ensuring all stations are ready for operations, including accuracy, speed and having a sense of urgency. This includes setting up next shift for success. Daily cleaning of respective areas and a clean as you go policy to be enforced. Hosts/hostesses are responsible for requesting two patient identifiers (date of birth and full name of patient) and assisting patient with opening items if required. Hosts/hostesses must ensure condiment boxes are restocked, patient delivery carts are sanitized, etc. COMPLETE ANY OTHER DUTIES/CLEANING AS ASSIGNED Daily cleaning to include: starter stations, , air- curtain refrigerators, host/hostess carts, ice cream freezers, beverage center and any other areas as deemed necessary in patient services. In the retail areas all set-up and breakdown of stations must be cleaned and sanitized between shifts and fully restocked. Everything must be dated and labeled and temps recorded daily – twice per day. All staff members may be asked to perform other tasks and/or temporarily re-assigned to other work areas, as business needs require. Break times are subject to change contingent upon business needs.

Assist Pathologist in surgical pathology, frozen sections and autopsies.  Work without immediate supervision when performing professional duties associated with the preparation, performance and completion of examination and/or preparations of surgical pathology specimens.

Performs the functions of  a Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist in the Epilepsy       Monitoring Unit as well as Routine Lab procedures including Evoked Potentials.        Additional duties may include routine EEG, at off-site Brace Road office.       Will occasionally be a preceptor for students
