Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care.
Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s).
Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
1. Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
2. Performs technical duties as directed by RN, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care specific to population served and documents appropriately.
3. Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
4. Reinforces education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues.
5. Participates in Cooper patient satisfaction initiatives and goals. Participates in the performance improvement activities. Assists in orientation of new hires.
6. Completes annual unit-specific competencies by specified due date.
7. Attends Staff Meetings when available for documents review of staff meeting minutes.
8. Assists in admission, transfers and discharges of patients to and from the unit.
- Assists the Clinical team in providing indirect patient care, plus has non patient care responsibilities.
- Contributes to quality patient care by serving as a significant member of the health care team.
Greet, smile and make the patient/family and visitor feel welcome, listen to customer’s request and offer assistance.
Provide clerical support, including correspondence, taking messages copying and faxing as assigned.
Responsible for answering phones and questions proficiently, and triaging calls which
cannot be answered and, therefore, require further assistance.
Provide escort (wheelchair assist/walking assist) to department and/or coordinate escort services with Patient Transport.
Distribute map and information for amenities, visiting hours and parking. Assist with all deliveries.
Offer clear directions, call taxi cabs, print info from Internet as requested, such as bus schedules, health system programs, etc. promoting a concierge type service.
Insures all customer needs are being met offering assistance when necessary or
requested.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

A nonexempt position responsible for performing a variety of duties in various ambulatory
settings, including primary, multi-specialty, specialty practices.
May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting providers
with patient care, and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical
services.
Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these
standards in daily operations.
Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and
ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.
Patient assessment, mechanical ventilatory support monitoring, non-invasive ventilation
support, administration of medical gas delivery systems (i.e.: heliox, nitric, oxygen
compressed air, etc...), humidification and aerosol therapy.
Airway management, delivery of aerosolized & instilled medications, chest physical therapy,vest therapy, IPV therapy, in-exsuffalator therapy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, arterial blood gas acquisition & analysis.
Transcutaneous pc02 & po2 monitoring, pulse oximetry monitoring & trending.
Ventilatory weaning, peak flow monitoring, assist with bedside tracheostomies, and
bronchoscopy, internal and external.
This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients.
Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer
satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital.
Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients.
Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information to
patients and their families using AIDET.
Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values
to both customer and co-workers.
Serves as patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at CMSRU and CUH is seeking an outstanding physician with academic aspirations to serve as the newest member of our Foot & Ankle Division within the Bone & Joint Institute. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing, tertiary care medical center that not only provides regional level 1 trauma care including complex ankle and foot trauma, but is also actively expanding its elective, ambulatory presence in the area. Expansion includes a new suburban center where ankle arthroplasty and other extended stay procedures are planned.
This division member will be responsible for a busy clinical practice and have opportunity to engage in the continued growth and advancement of research, scholarly activity and teaching excellence. A completed Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle fellowship is requisite. Research infrastructure including a research coordinator and fellows are accessible to the new division member as part of a research platform within the department. A digital team is also available for partnership that is continuing to develop educational videos and virtual reality modules. Currently the division already has one Orthpaedic Foot & Ankle surgeon and five Podiatrists working together with a strategic plan for further expansion. Educational opportunities exist both within our ACGME Orthopaedic Residency Program as well as a CPME Podiatric Residency program on our campus.

Radiology Tech Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Control requirements.
Maintains Licensure, stays current and participates departmental training offered.
Performs procedures (Portables, E.R., Trauma, Fluoro OR and General) as needed.
Demonstrates courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with
all co- workers/guests.
Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and

Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and
deficiencies, maintains paperwork particular to each department/office.

Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries.
Attends greater than 80% of staff meetings to staff informed and supports initiatives.
