This position can work tray line, host/hostess, cafeteria, deli, cashier, salad bar, pizza, etc. Can act as runner and be responsible for restocking and cleanliness. Responsible for ensuring all stations are ready for operations, including accuracy, speed and having a sense of urgency. This includes setting up next shift for success. Daily cleaning of respective areas and a clean as you go policy to be enforced. Hosts/hostesses are responsible for requesting two patient identifiers (date of birth and full name of patient) and assisting patient with opening items if required. Hosts/hostesses must ensure condiment boxes are restocked, patient delivery carts are sanitized, etc. COMPLETE ANY OTHER DUTIES/CLEANING AS ASSIGNED Daily cleaning to include: starter stations, , air- curtain refrigerators, host/hostess carts, ice cream freezers, beverage center and any other areas as deemed necessary in patient services. In the retail areas all set-up and breakdown of stations must be cleaned and sanitized between shifts and fully restocked. Everything must be dated and labeled and temps recorded daily – twice per day. All staff members may be asked to perform other tasks and/or temporarily re-assigned to other work areas, as business needs require. Break times are subject to change contingent upon business needs.

Perform various laundry, patient transport, and environmental duties throughout the hospital. Performs specific cleaning duties to maintain a clean and aseptic environment. Transports patients throughout the facility in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Performs laundering and related assignments necessary to the collection, processing, and distribution of linen throughout the system. Keeps waiting rooms, lounges, and staff areas tidy. High School diploma or equivalent required.

The Sr. Child Life Specialist will assess the psychosocial needs of patients and their families to offer and implement supportive, therapeutic interventions such as preparation for health care encounters, procedural support and coping strategies, and opportunities for various types of play. The Sr. Child Life Specialist will be an advocate for pediatric patients and visitors and serve as a resource for other hospital staff in areas of child development, family-centered care, trauma-informed care, age appropriate and developmentally appropriate interactions, and bereavement support. The Sr. Child Life Specialist will be a resource for other staff within the department, using professional expertise to offer support and guidance.   The ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and coworkers.   Responsibilities 1. Provides Child Life services in pediatric units as assigned and in other units as consulted 2. Assesses psychosocial and developmental needs of patients/families and implements or adapts services and goals as needed 3. Utilizes therapeutic interventions such as psychological preparation, procedural support, therapeutic play, medical play, bereavement support, etc. to facilitate coping with hospitalization 4. Provides developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed education and emotional support for children about health care encounters, the hospital environment, new diagnoses or injuries, grief, etc. 5. Documents interventions and services in a timely manner within the patient’s electronic health record 6. Works as part of the multi-disciplinary team to communicate, collaborate, educate, and advocate for patient- and family-centered care 7. Delegates appropriate duties to Activities Assistants and volunteers, supervises practicum students as assigned 8. Co-coordinates monthly education opportunities for staff, mentors new staff throughout the orientation period, assists with the annual department competency process 9. Actively participates in a hospital-based committee or organizational initiative to represent the psychosocial perspective and promote the growth and development of the Child Life Program       10. Complies with professional, ethical, and educational standards in accordance with the Association of Child Life Professionals

- Assumes responsibility and accountability for the direction, implementation and evaluation of patient care services within the Operating Room at the direction of the Clinical Director. - Ensures the delivery of patient care through the coordination of customer services and the leadership and management of the Operating Room at the direction of the Clinical Director, in collaboration with the Assistant Vice President of Surgical Services. - Assists in coordinating interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care.  - Assists in leading the patient care team to meet the needs of the customers and to achieve departmental objectives. - The business of directing the schedule shall be collaboration between the OR Flow Manager and Anesthesia charge physician to coordinate and expedite patient flow. - In collaboration with the Anesthesia charge physician, shall have the final decisions on all matters pertaining to the conduct of the schedule with the objective to improve OR utilization and expedite patient/case flow at all times.
