- Responsible for overseeing the process of scheduling patient’s surgeries and all associated appointments - Gathering all necessary pre-operative testing and clearances; communication with the OR’s, patients, vender representatives, and auth/cert teams; maintain communication and surgical documentation in EPIC and Physician’s outlook calendars; communication with HCA, PAT, clinical and OR scheduling teams; clear and timely EPIC documentation of all phone calls/conversations with patients.      

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. The Chaplin provides emotional and spiritual support via spiritual/cultural rites and activities elected by the patients and staff of Cooper Hospital via direct patient contact with pastoral care staff, departmental volunteers, and clinical pastoral education program students, while responding to requested referrals to patient/community resources.

The Reception Ambassador provides information and assistance to patients, families and visitors and serves as support for the clinical staff within the reception and lobby areas at Cooper University Health Care. The ambassador may fill the gap for patients without family or friends available for visits and is often the first team member patients and visitors engage with when entering Cooper University Health Care. Primary responsibilities of the Reception Ambassador are to greet patients/family and visitors, provide excellent customer service, and to create a safe and friendly environment for all guests. Reception ambassadors provide information, assistance, and support to our patients, guests, team members and visitors within our lobby areas in the organization.
