Registered Nurses in the Center for Wound Healing provide coordinated wound care under the direction of Physicians and Podiatrists through approved evidence-based protocols.  Modalities include advanced techniques including wound debridement, special dressing, application of skin substitutes, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy.  - Assisting the provider in assessing, staging, and treating wounds. - Maintaining documentation in the medical record. -

Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe. Evaluates patients, implements, and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications utilizing the nursing process. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills. This job requires the candidate to perform CAT scan procedures following protocols established by the radiologist and operate the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department. Maintains the work area by reporting Maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies, and deficient. Participates in Clinical activities and adheres to all infection prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed. 

An MRI Technologist interviews and screen patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety Concerns/contraindication. Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by Radiologists. Begins studies, transfers images, documents patient history and completes studies in EPIC / EMR and PACS system
