The Child Life Specialist will assess the psychosocial needs of patients and their families to offer and implement supportive, therapeutic interventions such as preparation for health care encounters, procedural support and coping strategies, and opportunities for various types of play. The Child Life Specialist will be an advocate for pediatric patients and visitors and serve as a resource for other hospital staff in areas of child development, family-centered care, trauma-informed care, age appropriate and developmentally appropriate interactions, and bereavement support.   1. Provides Child Life services in pediatric units as assigned and in other units as consulted 2. Assesses psychosocial and developmental needs of patients/families and implements or adapts services and goals as needed 3. Utilizes therapeutic interventions such as psychological preparation, procedural support, therapeutic play, medical play, bereavement support, etc. to facilitate coping with hospitalization 4. Provides developmentally appropriate, trauma-informed education and emotional support for children about health care encounters, the hospital environment, new diagnoses or injuries, grief, etc. 5. Documents interventions and services in a timely manner within the patient’s electronic health record 6. Works as part of the multi-disciplinary team to communicate, collaborate, educate, and advocate for patient- and family-centered care 7. Delegates appropriate duties to Activities Assistants and volunteers, supervises practicum students as assigned 8. Complies with professional, ethical, and educational standards in accordance with the Association of Child Life Professionals

The Cooper Foundation is seeking a Marketing/Communications/Graphics Design Manager with excellent written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of digital marketing/graphic design.  This is a full-time, in-house position will be responsible for the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies across social media platforms and our website in order to drive donations, engage donors, strengthen and create partnerships, and highlight The Cooper Foundation’s work. Serves as the Public Relations liaison for The Cooper Foundation. Outstanding, interpersonal communication skills and the ability to function in a collaborative team environment required. The ability to work independently while setting priorities, managing multiple projects simultaneously is necessary with good follow through being essential.  Manages the development of print, direct mail/email or digital needs of the Foundation.   Create and design materials for all Foundation events and initiatives:  Invitations and logos, Event collateral materials, Ads for sponsors and donors for events, Event displays, Event signage, Event booklets, Brochures, Marketing materials for Website and Social Media.       Website: Responsible for maintaining/managing and creating dynamic digital forward-facing content The Cooper Foundation’s Website, blog and electronic newsletters.  Knowledge of Luminate/WordPress/MobileCause is required       Communications:  Write copy and design all email solicitation (internal and external distribution); Prepare monthly communications and updates to Foundation Board.
