Prepares food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
Reads food order or receives verbal instructions on food required by patron and prepares and cooks food according to instructions.
Follows basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foodstuffs for consumption in eating establishments.
Prepares food under direct supervision or instruction by operating a variety of kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry or fish for culinary use.
Tastes products, read menus, estimates food requirements, checks production, and keeps records in order to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment.
Cleans and sanitizes workstation and equipment and must follow all regulatory rules and procedures.
Complies with all HACCP policies and procedures.
Ensures that the proper quantity of food is prepared by utilizing the correct portion control utensils.
Maintain proper food temperatures during food preparation and record those temperature according to the established policy.

Responsible for the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment and patient-related items to their destinations enabling technologists, nursing and physcians to perform their duties in an effective manner. Maintain inventory levels of supplies and organize stock so that it’s properly maintained to avoid loss during daily operations or expiration. Clean assigned work areas and related equipment. Assist medical, technical, and clerical staff to prepare patients and patient rooms for procedures. Collect and deposit soiled laundry appropriately to ensure proper sanitation standards and cleaning of work areas. Provide the highest level of patient satisfaction by promptly and courteously responding to the needs and requests of our patients, visitors, and staff. Responds to questions with clear, accurate information; provide assistance to patients and their families. Acts as a positive role model and team player demonstrating Hospital Mission and Core Values and adhears to policies, procedures and standards established by Hospital, Department and Regulatory Agencies.

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Follows established policies and procedures. Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians. Applies Cooper core values. Other duties as required.
Financially clears scheduled inpatient and outpatient services, including office visits, testing, diagnostic studies, surgeries and procedures, prior to date of service. Financial clearance process encompasses any or all of the following job functions:
•Verifies insurance eligibility and plan benefits.
•Contacts patients with inactive insurance coverage to obtain updated insurance information
•Validates coordination of benefits between insurance carriers.
•Explains insurance plan coverage and benefits to patients, as necessary.
•Secures insurance authorizations and pre-certs for patient services both internal and external to Cooper.
•Creates referrals for patients having a Cooper PCP. Contacts external PCPs to obtain referrals for patients scheduled with Cooper providers.
•Refers patients with less than 100% coverage to Financial Screening Navigators.
•Identifies copayment, deductible and co-insurance information.
•Collects and processes patient liability payments prior to service.
Provides clear and concise documentation in systems.
Communicates daily with insurance companies, internal customers, providers and patients.

The OB/Gyn Nocturnist will be one of two in house attendings responsible for care. In addition to clinical proficiency, the ideal candidate should be skilled in the scholarship of teaching and be able to work with students/residents/patients from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.The Ob/Gyn Nocturnist will play an active role in the education of medical students and residents. The physician will work in cooperation with the faculty and attending physicians within and across departments to provide quality care to private and service patients. Involvement in department, hospital and medical school activities is encouraged. The Ob/Gyn Nocturnist is expected to model and educate evidence-based practice, and participate and educate trainees in performance improvement, quality and patient safety. Employment includes an academic appointment with Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, commensurate with academic and research experience.

The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.
