Responsible for supporting the ED clinical team in provision of patient care. This includes environmental readiness, assistance with procedures/care, carrying out specific duties, and effective communication. Support departmental initiatives including but not limited to patient throughput and customer service initiatives.
- Assists the Clinical team in providing indirect patient care, plus has non patient care responsibilities.

This is one of two Clinical Director positions in the Cooper Camden OR. The role is directly responsible for the daily operations of 29 OR suites with several specialties including but not limited to cardiac, Ophthalmology, Vascular, Robotics, ENT, Plastics surgery, Neuro surgery, and Orthopedic surgery. The Clinical Director oversees daily practice operations, recruitment, retention, adherence to policies and procedures, supports ongoing education of staff, ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and responsible for fiscal responsibility of unit/department.
- Directs and coordinates effective operations of the unit/department with 24/7 responsibility to ensure continuity of care and oversight of other management functions.

- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and function as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in research as directed by unit clinical director
- Complete prior authorizations for continuing care as directed by community agencies
- Completes an admission review of all patients within 24 business hours of admission utilizing specific behavioral health (InterQual or MCG) criteria and accurately documents all review determinations.
- Conducts daily concurrent continued stay and discharge reviews with appropriate provider utilizing specific behavioral health utilization management criteria.
- Collaborates and communicates with the multidisciplinary (behavioral health and medical) team, and attends team meetings as required for appropriate exchange of information.
- Proactively follows and intervenes on open cases to include concurrent appeals of denials. Identifies and refers cases that do not meet established clinical criteria to the Physician Advisor.
- Communicates denials to the Physician Advisor to evaluate for peer to peer, and sends to denial work queue for written appeal if necessary.
- Collaborates with billing office to ensure proper accurate billing per patient status.
- Delivers the Important Message from Medicare to patient and/or next of kin according to policy.
The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Program Administrator supports multiple functions of the GME training programs and serves as the liaison for the external entities by assisting with day-to-day management of resident or fellow training programs within GME. Ability to demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness and problem-solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of responsibilities in organizing and independently prioritizing work. Provides a specialized service requiring an understanding of relevant practices, policies, procedures,and compliance oversight.The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational, administrative and writing capabilities. He/she must also exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Expertise in computers and database management is required. He/she will be able to handle confidential information and will exercise good judgement with respect to the generally sensitive nature of material related to residents and students.

Provides psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, resources referrals, to facilitate discharge plans, and/or adjustment to illness, and complex discharge planning for patients and their families.
Formulates the discharge plan with patient, families and the care team based upon a needs assessment. Coordinates appropriate referrals to home care agencies, skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, and community based programs.
Coordinates care authorization process with insurers. Coordinates specific details of patient’s hospitalization with Utilization Management department to ensure appropriate admission status.
