Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.
- Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
- Performs technical duties as directed by RN, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care specific to population served and documents appropriately.
- Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
- Reinforces education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues.
- Participates in Cooper patient satisfaction initiatives and goals. Participates in the performance improvement activities. Assists in orientation of new hires.
- Completes annual unit-specific competencies by specified due date.
- Attends Staff Meetings when available for documents review of staff meeting minutes.
- Assists in admission, transfers and discharges of patients to and from the unit.

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

- Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians.

The MGR BUS ANALY & PHYSICIAN COMP supports strategic workforce management including planning, monitoring, and analyzing for Cooper Healthcare. This position will maintain key software and analytic tools aligned with the corporate strategic initiatives, maximizing the use of technology and organizational resources to achieve goals. Additionally, this position will partner with senior leaders to deploy solutions that maximize productivity.
The MGR BUS ANALY & PHYSICIAN COMP administers, coordinates and evaluates the Physician Compensation Program for Cooper Healthcare. Aligns Sr. Physician Leadership strategy with the core operations of the Physician Compensation program.
Physician Compensation Management:
- Provide analytical support to various Provider Compensation committees
- Manage and prepare monthly Physician flow of funds summaries
- Manage Hospital based compensation increases, decreases, and incentives.
- Prepare annual base salaries
- Prepare annual and semi-annual incentive calculations, obtain the necessary administrator approvals and execute payment through payroll process
- Prepare compensation related analytics and compensation related variance summaries
- Calculate and validate physician leadership incentive grids
- Support other non-physician provider incentives and future compensation plans (Nurse Practitioners, CRNAs, etc.)
- Manage physician contracting process
- Track physician “open” and vacant positions
- Prepare annual Physician salary budgets
- Prepare monthly compensation related expense accruals and incentive liability analysis
- Maintain an annual compensation calendar and update Physician Compensation Guidelines
The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.
This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients.
Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer
satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital.
Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients.
Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information to
patients and their families using AIDET.
Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values
to both customer and co-workers.
Serves as patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.
- Performs nutritional assessments and nutrition screens, which are appropriate and timely per established policies and procedure
- Develops nutrition care plans and monitors patient response to care plan developed
- Provides inpatient discharge diet instructions.
- Keeps thorough and updated information on patient profile sheets
- Instructs outpatient, teaches classes and conducts in-services, as required.
- Provides diet consultations as ordered by physicians
- Attends dietitian’s meeting and Food Nutritional Services department meetings.
- Collaborates with physician and nursing to deliver quality nutrition care.

This position provides, care coordination and treatment adherence services for persons at high risk for HIV infection. This provides emergent non-medical case management services for EIP patients as needed. This position has a strong emphasis on outreach to our patients
Assess all EIP clients requesting PrEP services and identify immediate/urgent needs and take appropriate action
Complete PrEP assessments as applicable
Develop client service care plans
Complete data entry for HIV testing and PrEP database
Develop client service care plans
Monitor HIV testing and Outreach Supplies
Perform HIV Counseling and Testing
