The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients.   Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital.    Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients.    Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information to patients and their families using AIDET.   Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values to both customer and co-workers.   Serves as patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.

- Performs nutritional assessments and nutrition screens, which are appropriate and timely per established policies and procedure - Develops nutrition care plans and monitors patient response to care plan developed - Provides inpatient discharge diet instructions. - Keeps thorough and updated information on patient profile sheets - Instructs outpatient, teaches classes and conducts in-services, as required. - Provides diet consultations as ordered by physicians - Attends dietitian’s meeting and Food Nutritional Services department meetings. - Collaborates with physician and nursing to deliver quality nutrition care.   - Visits patients with special dietary needs. Documents clinical productivity. Provides billing for patient nutritional services. Provides needed in-services as assigned. Answers telephone and provide copies as required

This position provides, care coordination and treatment adherence services for persons at high risk for HIV infection. This provides emergent non-medical case management services for EIP patients as needed. This position has a strong emphasis on outreach to our patients   Assess all EIP clients requesting PrEP services and identify immediate/urgent needs and take appropriate action Complete PrEP assessments as applicable Develop client service care plans Complete data entry for HIV testing and PrEP database Develop client service care plans Monitor HIV testing and Outreach Supplies Perform HIV Counseling and Testing

The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.   Additional Responsibilities: - Follows established policies and procedures. - Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. - Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians. - Applies Cooper core values. - Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe. - Evaluates patients, implements, and documents nursing care. - Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. - Performs various patient tests and administers medications utilizing the nursing process. - Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.

Assists the Clinical Director in coordinating interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care. Assists the Clinical Manager in directing the preparation and maintenance of patient's clinical record, including nursing and medical treatments and related services provided by the Registered Nurse. Assists the Clinical Director in leading the patient care team to meet the needs of the customers and to achieve departmental objectives. Assists the Clinical Director in ensuring that the staff participates in educational activities and the evaluation process.

Responsible for supporting the ED clinical team in provision of patient care. This includes environmental readiness, assistance with procedures/care, carrying out specific duties, and effective communication. Support departmental initiatives including but not limited to patient throughput and customer service initiatives.

The Health Economist will: - Leverage technical knowledge of research and statistical methods, and deep understanding of health care delivery issues to find innovative and informative solutions to business problems - Support the use of microeconomic principles in analyzing the economic benefits of public programs and policies - Develop program objectives, strategies and study methods on health care for strategic quality/behavioral, and health care solution interventions - Work with Population Health to develop health economics and cost effectiveness recommendations for strategy deployment - Work closely with staff across the enterprise to understand business processes, articulate problems and find solutions that support enterprise strategies and tactics - Evaluate current and proposed strategies for various Population Health solutions and interpret findings - Proactively identify market opportunities through effective planning and development of financially sound business proposals - Contribute to strategic discussions/market access planning processes to enhance the effectiveness of implementation of Population Health strategies - Communicate economic assessment results to appropriate internal audiences - Utilize all clinical decision support applications to identify, obtain and analyze data from multiple hospital sources and systems to create ongoing and ad hoc performance reports in support of organizational requirements, goals and objectives in the areas of: Quality and Performance Improvement - Clinical Outcomes - Regulatory reporting - Publically reported data sites (Consumer facing) - Industry and regional rating/ranking - Research - Create reports containing technical and clinical information - Contribute to business development by identifying new ways to enhance or expand existing tasks/projects and present research ideas/white papers
