The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

Assists in providing direct, indirect, and non-patient care responsibilities. Assumes responsibility for record keeping, intra-departmental and interdepartmental communications, written and electronic medical record keeping.

Perform various laundry, patient transport, and environmental duties throughout the hospital. Performs specific cleaning duties to maintain a clean and aseptic environment. Transports patients throughout the facility in a professional, courteous, and timely manner. Performs laundering and related assignments necessary to the collection, processing, and distribution of linen throughout the system. Keeps waiting rooms, lounges, and staff areas tidy. High School diploma or equivalent required.  

A nonexempt position responsible for performing a variety of duties in various ambulatory settings, including primary, multi-specialty, specialty practices. May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including assisting providers with patient care, and handling clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinical services. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.

This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients. Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital. Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients. Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information to patients and their families using AIDET. Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values to both customer and co-workers. Serves as patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.

The Phlebotomy Technician is primarily responsible for collecting specimens for laboratory testing in the inpatient setting. Patients may range from newborn through older adults. Team members are assigned to various inpatient units based on volume and are expected to provide timely and accurate service.

Provide support and assistance to the Department of Graduate Medical Education, including the Director, Graduate Medical Education, Assistant DIO-GME, and Sub-committee Chairs and to perform responsibilities with the use of independent judgment, professional communication, decision making and interpersonal skills.                 Has supervisory responsibility for GME staff and directs the daily administrative operations of GME office        Responsible for the training, supervision and mentoring of all staff      within the Department.         Work with the Administrative Director , Program Director and Program Administrator and/or      designee(s) in the development and accreditation of      new residency/fellowship programs.        Manager will be an active participant in departmental education leadership committees as an      advocate for the advancement of medical education and future growth of residency and      student education at Cooper University Hospital.        Ensures compliance with all institutional GME policies and procedures as set forth by the       Cooper University Health Care Graduate Medical Education Office.        Works directly with the physician program directors, the Manager of Education Programs      ensures that accreditation standards are met, program policies are established, and      recruitment strategies are developed and implemented to ensure that highly successful      residency and fellowship programs are maintained.         Fosters open lines of communications among program admnistrators, GME office staff, faculty, fellows, residents and students.

The Clinical Nurse Manager will provide the knowledge, skill, and expertise necessary to successfully support the daily operations of the clinical unit while supporting unit alignment with organizational mission, vision, and goals. - Support and maintain successful unit-based throughput efforts through the facilitation of appropriate and timely bed assignments resulting in fair, safe, and balanced clinical workloads for all clinical team members. - Ensure that all available resources are utilized in an efficient, effective, fiscally responsible manner that supports the delivery of safe, high-quality care to all patients. - Identify, implement, and support the deployment of evidence-based interventions designed to maximize successful input, throughput and output-related processes. - Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, compassionate, and nurturing manner. - Facilitate the successful and appropriate allocation of clinical resources through preemptive planning while also demonstrating the ability to execute safe and clinically appropriate strategies to address urgent and emergent clinical needs. - Serve as a role model/mentor empowering all clinical staff to identify innovative solutions to address patient needs while ensuring all clinical staff receive the support needed to practice in alignment with the full scope of their clinical role. - Support and empower the clinical team in the implementation of successful evidence-based practice changes in effort to address opportunities for improvement that are identified through quality, process, and performance improvement efforts. - Ensures the delivery of quality patient care through the coordination of organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director. Assists the Clinical Director in coordinating interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care. - Lead the collaboration of inter-professional care teams to achieve successful clinical outcomes for all patients. - Identify and support the elements of improved care quality including, improvements in nursing sensitive care quality indicators (NDNQI), effective care coordination, mitigation of gaps /omissions in care, prevention of potential errors from reaching the bedside.
