Responsible for registration functions (such as registration, insurance verification, patient safety and compliance, revenue collections, resource referrals, and customer service) in a fast paced, high volume Emergency Department that provides 24/7 service.
A nonexempt position responsible for the nursing care under the supervision of physicians, providers and/or registered nurse(s). May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including physical assessments, medication administration, promotion of wellness through patient education and teaching, care of the patient environment and organizational tasks. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Initiates and implements patient teaching plans. Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.
The role is directly responsible for the daily operations of the Voorhees Surgical Center. The position will have oversight of 4 OR suites and 1 procedure room, Pre Op, PACU, PAT, and Central Sterile Processing, Education, and the Business office through partnership with the leaders of these areas. The ASC performs outpatient surgery within several specialties including but not limited Plastics surgery, General surgery, ENT, Urology, OMFS, and Breast surgery. Work within designated center of excellence to coordinate all clinical aspects of the Cooper Neurlogical Institute’s (CNI) practice, working closely with the treatment team of Neurosurgeons and staff.
Demonstrate a comprehensive clinical knowledge of treatment indications, assist with organizing weekly conferences, protocol follow up, education, and clinical care of patient.
Work collaboratively with physicians to provide community education, first responder education, as well as peer education within Cooper University Health Care.
