This position is responsible for overseeing the applications portfolio to ensure systems architecture, design, and strategy meets and supports business, functional, and technology requirements. Ensures ease of maintenance, application performance, and compatibility with new and existing systems. Identifies and documents all integration points across the applications portfolio for new and existing systems, including all third party vendor systems. Provides technical direction and guidance to application teams when implementing new systems. Review every medication order and dosage for completeness, safety and efficacy prior to
dispensing to an individual patient including routine, stat and investigational orders.
Maintain drug information, investigational, educational, cost containment and clinical
programs
Provide pre-hospital Advanced Life Support (ALS) care in all weather conditions, in
cooperation with other EMS providers as a member of the patient care team.
Care will be rendered to patients of all ages whom experience any injury or illness, utilizing
appropriate equipment and techniques to safely assess, treat, lift, move and transport
patients to appropriate medical facilities.
Complete all required documentation and other assigned duties which support efficient
EMS operations while maintaining a professional attitude.
Financial management of awarded grants and contracts.
Works with faculty and staff to prepare accurate effort reports.
Works with faculty and staff to develop administrative and regulatory/compliance components of awarded grants and contracts.
Reviews and seeks approval of budget changes requested by the grant principal investigator/program director.
Verify eligibility with insurance companies; Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding co-pays, deductibles, denials, and Cost of Benefit (COB) issues. Resolve accounts timely and effectively. Provides excellent customer service.
Financially clears scheduled inpatient and outpatient services, including office visits, testing, diagnostic studies, surgeries and procedures, prior to date of service. Financial clearance process encompasses any or all of the following job functions:
•Verifies insurance eligibility and plan benefits.
•Contacts patients with inactive insurance coverage to obtain updated insurance information
•Validates coordination of benefits between insurance carriers.
•Explains insurance plan coverage and benefits to patients, as necessary.
•Secures insurance authorizations and pre-certs for patient services both internal and external to Cooper.
