The Senior Internal Auditor and Analyst is responsible for leading, planning, and executing integrated IT risk-based audits of operational, financial, and clinical functions from planning to audit issue follow-up under the direction of the Director of Internal Audit. Assists with supervising one internal staff auditor on audits. Obtain electronic data and conduct audits that rely heavily on data analysis to accomplish audit objectives. Provide computer support and data analysis assistance to the Internal Audit Department. Performs special reviews and investigations of operations as requested.
Gains a comprehensive understanding of assigned audit business operations, processes, and business objectives and then utilize that knowledge on assigned audits. Manages project assignments and timelines to ensure the timely and effective completion of tasks. Lead audit kick-off meetings, set expectations, and schedule. Prepare working papers, conduct interviews, review documents, and performs data analystics suitable for the audit. Identify and execute audit, including identifying and defining audit objectives, risks, and criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, creating process narratives and documents and tests control's design and operating effectiveness. Conducts detailed control testing, gather and document detailed controls test results supported by clear evidentiary artifacts. Writes full audit reports with audit details, testing results and recommendations. Communicate the results of audit to management. Perform follow-up on audit findings to ensure corrective action is implemented.
Independently and proactively identifies and pursues professional development opportunities that align with development needs, current or emerging risks, and assigned audit work plan projects. Timely report on obstacles and provide regular progress reports of audits to audit management.
Responsible for receipt, distribution and delivery of supplies within Cooper Health Care network. This includes: Picking of requisitions orders, Receipt of Purchase Orders, Delivery of supplies, utilizing truck, Replenishment of inventory supplies, Cycle Counting, Utilizing Lawson / Mobile Supply Chain RF Scanner, Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Support and maintain successful unit-based throughput efforts through the facilitation of appropriate and timely bed assignments resulting in fair, safe, and balanced clinical workloads for all clinical team members.
- Ensure that all available resources are utilized in an efficient, effective, fiscally responsible manner that supports the delivery of safe, high-quality care to all patients.
- Identify, implement, and support the deployment of evidence-based interventions designed to maximize successful input, throughput and output related processes.
- Support staff engagement by serving the unit in a consistent, supportive, compassionate, and nurturing manner.
- Facilitate the successful and appropriate allocation of clinical resources through preemptive planning while also demonstrating the ability to execute safe and clinically appropriate strategies to address urgent and emergent clinical needs.
- Serve as a role model/mentor empowering all clinical staff to identify innovative solutions to address patient needs while ensuring all clinical staff receive the support needed to practice in alignment with the full scope of their clinical role.
- Support and empower the clinical team in the implementation of successful evidence-based practice changes in effort to address opportunities for improvement that are identified through quality, process, and performance improvement efforts.
- Ensures the delivery of quality patient care through the coordination of organizational priorities at the direction of the Clinical Director . Assists the Clinical Director in coordinating interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care.
- Lead the collaboration of inter-professional care teams to achieve successful clinical outcomes for all patients.
- Identify and support the elements of improved care quality including: improvements in nursing sensitive care quality indicators (NDNQI), effective care coordination, mitigation of gaps /omissions in care, prevention of potential errors from reaching the bedside.
This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients.
Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer
satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital.
Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients.
Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information to
patients and their families using AIDET.
Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values
to both customer and co-workers.
Serves as patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.
