Assists the Principal Investigator and other members of the research team with preparation of IRB protocols, consent forms, and development of study budget.    Work as a team player with all involved in the studies.

- Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care. - Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s). - Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.

The trained technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.

The Therapist must support and assure the efficient, effective, courteous testing of patients and reporting accurate results to physicians for interpretation. Flexibility and excellent teamwork required in order to meet the needs of the physicians, patients, and coworkers. Assist Pulmonary Physicians in different locations that may require travel between sites. This position requires independent working skills, which may include transporting a patient, faxing or scanning reports to physician offices, or any other function which can facilitate the operation of the Pulmonary Function Labs and the Bronchoscopy Suite.
