The Outpatient Social Worker is responsible for coordinating the complex discharge planning needs of patients and families, as well as to provide supportive counseling, psychosocial assessment and interventions for patients with complex psychiatric, social, medical, and financial needs in the inpatient setting. The Social Worker also assists the interdisciplinary team in order to help the patient and families cope with hospitalization, illness, diagnoses, treatment, and other issues as they prevent a barrier to efficient patient throughput and quality outcomes.   

The Oncology Clinical Pharmacy Specialist provides advanced clinical pharmacy services in Oncology, with an ability to subspecialize, to ensure optimal safe and cost effective therapeutic regimens in collaboration with respective specialty disciplines.   Post graduate (PGY2) in Oncology required.   Oncology Board Certification preferred.

Interviews and screen patients prior to MRI procedures to ensure there are no safety      concerns/contraindication.        Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists.        Begins studies, transfers images, documents patient history and completes studies in      GE IDX PACS system.        Experience with Cardiac and Pediatrics preferred.        Siemens/Toshiba experience preferred.        Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients      when necessary.        Excellent organizational skills and communication skills needed to effectively orchestrate      daily workflow of patients.

This RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. Will have the unique opportunity to assist in the development and operations of the Cooper Urgent Care Center. This new model focuses on the acute/immediate care needs in the Cherry Hill and surrounding areas. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and clinical skills are required. References in these areas are a must.

Maintains a courteous and professional manner toward all patients. Performs CAT Scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologists.   Performs IR procedures such as biopsies and drainages.   Maintenance of equipment/supplies, maintains paperwork associated with job function.   Maintains clean and neat work area.   Participation in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, assists provider, etc.)   Adheres to departmental policies and procedures.   Excellent organizational and communication skills needed to effectively orchestrate daily workflow of patients.   Participates in Departmental On Call and Holiday Requirements.

The Therapist must support and assure the efficient, effective, courteous testing of patients and reporting accurate results to physicians for interpretation.   Flexibility and excellent teamwork required in order to meet the needs of the physicians, patients and coworkers.  Assist Pulmonary Physicians in different locations that may require travel between sites.        This position requires independent working skills, which may include transporting a patient, faxing or scanning reports to physician offices, or any other function which can facilitate the operation of the Pulmonary Function Labs and the Bronchoscopy Suite.      

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care. Communicates with and supports healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family or significant other(s). Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics. - Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice. - Performs technical duties as directed by RN, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care specific to population served and documents appropriately. - Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice. - Reinforces education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues. - Participates in Cooper patient satisfaction initiatives and goals. Participates in the performance improvement activities. Assists in orientation of new hires. - Completes annual unit-specific competencies by specified due date. - Attends Staff Meetings when available for documents review of staff meeting minutes. - Assists in admission, transfers and discharges of patients to and from the unit.

Patient assessment, mechanical ventilatory support monitoring, non-invasive ventilation support, administration of medical gas delivery systems (i.e.:  heliox, nitric, oxygen compressed air, etc...), humidification and aerosol therapy.   Airway management, delivery of aerosolized & instilled medications, chest physical therapy,vest therapy, IPV therapy, in-exsuffalator therapy, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, arterial blood gas acquisition & analysis.   Transcutaneous pc02 & po2 monitoring, pulse oximetry monitoring & trending.   Ventilatory weaning, peak flow monitoring, assist with bedside tracheostomies, and bronchoscopy, internal and external patient transporting, patient and family education.   

Responsible for supporting the ED clinical team in provision of patient care. This includes environmental readiness, assistance with procedures/care, carrying out specific duties, and effective communication. Support departmental initiatives including but not limited to patient throughput and customer service initiatives.

Assumes responsibility for record keeping, and intra-departmental and Inter-departmental communications.
