This position has a strong emphasis on customer service to our patients.
Must ensure quality patient scheduling, positive telephone etiquette and customer
satisfaction in support of the mission of Cooper University Hospital.
Serve as the front line contact person for all incoming patients.
Greet, register, schedule, collect point of service copays and provide general information to
patients and their families using AIDET.
Must have the ability to be organized, take independent action and project Cooper’s values
to both customer and co-workers.
Serves as patient’s non-clinical navigator during discharge coordination.
A nonexempt position responsible for the nursing care under the supervision of physicians, providers and/or registered nurse(s). May be involved in both the clinical and administrative areas including physical assessments, medication administration, promotion of wellness through patient education and teaching, care of the patient environment and organizational tasks. Maintains working knowledge of regulatory standards and is accountable to sustain these standards in daily operations. Initiates and implements patient teaching plans. Clinical direction, oversight and competency review is provided by medical providers and ambulatory professional development team in coordination with office management.
The Registered RN is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Follows established policies and procedures.
- Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
- Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians.
- Applies Cooper core values.
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe.
- Evaluates patients, implements, and documents nursing care.
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications utilizing the nursing process.
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Residency/Fellowship Trained in Interventional Radiology.
- Board Certified by the ABR; ideally DR/IR certified
- Licensed in the State of New Jersey or the ability to obtain Medical License in this State.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with or ability to teach medical students and residents. CUH has an accredited residency program with an established ESIR track; administrative initiative to transition the ESIR program into an Interventional Radiology Residency
The Advanced Practice Nurse assumes responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty.
In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include clinical practice, staff and patient education, and research.
The Advanced Practice Nurse serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
The Advanced Practice Nurse assumes responsibility for advanced nursing practice within a clinical specialty.
In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities include clinical practice, staff and patient education, and research.
The Advanced Practice Nurse serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
•Performs CAT Scan procedures following protocols established by the Radiologist
•Operates the CT scanner during IR procedures in the CT department.
•Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies.
•Adheres to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.
•Maintains licensure and BLS.
•Stays current and participates departmental training offered.
•Demonstrates courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co- workers/customers.
•Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external.
•Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport).
•Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries. Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements.
•Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications.
•Participates in Departmental On Call and Holiday Requirements.

The trained Surgical technologist, under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and/or physician, is assigned as an assistant to specific service areas in the Surgical Suite.
Our practice population includes a variety of high-risk obstetrical patients and complex gynecologic patients from throughout the Southern New Jersey region and works cohesively with a variety of Cooper subspecialty services including:
- Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery
- Gynecologic Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper
- Maternal Fetal Medicine
- Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility
