The position responsibilities include but are not limited to outpatient consultative ultrasound offices (7 sites), inpatient service coverage of our 9-bedded antepartum unit, coverage of high-risk OB clinic (1/2 day each week), and resident/student education. The position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all admissions, laboring patients, gynecology patients in the hospital as well as providing attending support to emergency room consultations. The OB/Gyn Nocturnist will be one of two in house attendings responsible for care. In addition to clinical proficiency, the ideal candidate should be skilled in the scholarship of teaching and be able to work with students/residents/patients from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.The Ob/Gyn Nocturnist will play an active role in the education of medical students and residents.
