We are looking for highly resourceful and data-savvy students to join our Enterprise Analytics team as interns. The enterprise Analytics team is charged with leveraging on existing data resources to provide timely, accurate and actionable insights to business leaders across the organization. The interns will partner with other members of the Enterprise Analytics team to work on a variety of data analysis and visualization projects covering all facets of the healthcare delivery industry.
The internship will give you the opportunity to work on “real world” problems and enable you to sharpen your skills in exploratory data analysis, data visualization and advanced analytics. You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of project delivery and will have the opportunity to work with business leaders to define the problems and communicate the outcomes. You will have a flexible schedule, dedicating up to 20 hours a week to project work. Throughout the internship, you will gain tons of experience, hopefully enjoy the data crunching, earn a good pay and have a good potential for full time employment with us upon completion of your studies.

The ED Flow Manager’s primary responsibility will be to facilitate flow through the ED. This position will delegate care to the ED care teams and assign patients, ensuring that workload is balanced and delegates tasks appropriately, employing resources as needed to assure quality and efficient care.
Ensures the delivery of patient care through the coordination of customer services and the leadership and management of the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit at the direction of the Clinical Director.
This position assists the Clinical Director in coordinating interdepartmental and ancillary activities to ensure quality, cost-effective patient care.
Assists the Clinical Director in leading the patient care team to meet the needs of the customers and to achieve departmental objectives.
Assumes responsibility and accountability for the direction and implementation of patient care services within the Emergency Department and Clinical Decision Unit at the direction of the Clinical Director and in their absence.

GENERAL

DOCUMENTATION
5. Develops and maintains up to date documentation on all implementations.
6. Develops and maintains Application Support standards and procedures and other documentation as required.
SUPPORT
7. Provides first tier support for assigned applications, ensuring quality services are delivered and performed and customer expectations are achieved or exceeded.
8. Ability to act as an effective liaison between the end user and the Clinical Application Analysts.
TRAINING
9. Assists in the training and induction of new staff into the Application support team.
TESTING
10. Demonstrates ability to participate in testing activities by running test scripts and documenting results during installation and upgrade activities. Brings forth issues and ideas to improve the overall roll out of clinical systems.
Scope, Purpose, and Frequency of Contacts:
Frequent interaction with IT staff and end-users, including health system staff, management, or physicians.
The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary
health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a
designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the
nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.
Follows established policies and procedures.
Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management
and physicians.

1. Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
2. Performs technical duties as directed by RN, such as phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, EKGs, Foley catheter care specific to population served and documents appropriately.
3. Identifies and communicates changes in patient’s status to RN and responds appropriately. Demonstrates standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.
4. Reinforces education of patient and family/responsible party regarding individual care needs and safety issues.
5. Participates in Cooper patient satisfaction initiatives and goals. Participates in the performance improvement activities. Assists in orientation of new hires.
6. Completes annual unit-specific competencies by specified due date.
7. Attends Staff Meetings when available for documents review of staff meeting minutes.
8. Assists in admission, transfers and discharges of patients to and from the unit
Conduct interviews with patients and families to insure insurance coverage which includes
obtaining benefit information and pre-certification.
Make referrals to financial assistance services for patients with less than 100% coverage.
This position will also perform Scheduling duties when needed.
