Cooper University Health Care (CUHC) is seeking an academic addiction medicine physician to join our growing addiction medicine division.
Cooper addiction medicine division is an interdisciplinary, medical specialty program within our university healthcare setting. Our division provides both inpatient and outpatient specialty care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders through a variety of programs including: a hospital consultation service, inpatient detoxification/stabilization and residential programs, emergency department and hospital bridge programs, community paramedicine and field buprenorphine initiation, jail transition care, outpatient group and specialty medical visits, a low barrier walk-in clinic, a wrap-around perinatal SUD program, dual diagnosis psychiatric and addiction medical care, integrated addiction and infectious disease care including HIV and hepatitis C treatment, and other innovative community work. We run several clinical innovation, education, and research programs. The successful candidate should have a strong desire to shape the delivery of substance use disorder care and be versed in urban underserved care and harm reduction. This physician would report to the division head of addiction medicine and would have an academic appointment at Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.

The Children’s Regional Hospital at Cooper is the major pediatric tertiary care center for the 7-county southern New Jersey region. The more than 40 full-time faculty members of the Department of Pediatrics provide the complete range of pediatric general and subspecialty care and teach within the Department’s pediatric residency and medical student programs. The Division currently has 1 full-time gastroenterologist, 1 nurse educator, a part-time dietician, and a part-time social worker. The Children’s Regional Hospital also has approximately 40 additional pediatric specialists from the Departments of Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, Radiology and others.
The Pediatric in-patient units include: a 7-bed Pediatric Emergency Room, 6-bed PICU, 12-bed step down unit, 20-bed Pediatric floor and 35 NICU/Newborn bassinets state-of-the art NICU.

The Ideal Candidate:
- Residency/Fellowship Trained in Interventional Radiology.
- Board Certified by the ABR; ideally DR/IR certified
- Licensed in the State of New Jersey or the ability to obtain Medical License in this State.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with or ability to teach medical students and residents. CUH has an accredited residency program with an established ESIR track; administrative initiative to transition the ESIR program into an Interventional Radiology Residency
