Functions in the role of providing a safe environment for patients requiring close observation.

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Follows established policies and procedures.
- Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.
- Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management and physicians.
- Applies Cooper core values.
- Assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated timeframe.
- Evaluates patients, implements and documents nursing care.
- Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Performs various patient tests and administers medications utilizing the nursing process.
- Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
The Phlebotomist-EKG technician is the primary person responsible for: a. Collecting laboratory specimens and performing EKG?s on patients treated in the outpatient setting, including off site locations and nursing homes b. Collecting laboratory specimens from hospital inpatients. Patients range in age from newborn through older adult.
Work with sponsors during the study start-up process to prepare the regulatory documents and maintain the studies’ regulatory binders throughout duration of study through close out including version control.
Work with the Institutional Review Board to submit initial study applications, amendments, continuing reviews, adverse event reports and other submissions.
Provide regular updates to the Regulatory and Operations team members on where studies are in the review/start-up process, monitoring outcomes, and close out preparation.
Maintain the delegation of authority logs and regulatory documentation for each study and ensure study staff training on each protocol.
Work with sponsors to set up site initiation visits, monitoring visits and study close-out visits and prepare post-visit documents.
Maintains tracking for all protocol related paperwork and collects documents from sponsors for protocol submission and maintenance.
Coordinates FDA submissions and prepares for all research audits.
Oncology and Research are specialized and require unique skill sets. Realigning the MD Anderson Research Department at Cooper with the MD Anderson Cancer Center at Houston’s recommendation, allows research growth in both the structure and the types of studies we are able to offer our clients to advance care. The role of Oncology Research Regulatory Coordinator PRN will serve to support the regulatory lead and coordinators on industry-sponsored, federally funded or MD Anderson collaborative studies maintaining compliance and audit readiness.

Patient Navigators provide a single and centralized point of patient access to physician and radiology services across disciplines. This includes Internal and Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Cardiology, OB/GYN, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Pain Management.
Patient Navigators thrive on working in a fast paced environment, have a strong ability to multi-task, are technically savvy, service oriented, communicate effectively and consistently display a professional demeanor.
Delivers an exceptional experience to patients, customers and physicians who contact the Access Center by facilitating patient access throughout Cooper’s provider network.
Provides support to the Access Center management team related to escalations, patient complaints, new hire onboarding, and training/cross-training initiatives.
