- Proficient in-patient scheduling, professional telephone etiquette and customer satisfaction in support of the mission of CUH.

The ED Flow Manager’s primary responsibility will be to facilitate flow through the ED. This position will delegate care to the ED care teams and assign patients, ensuring that workload is balanced and delegates tasks appropriately, employing resources as needed to assure quality and efficient care.

- Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), assists with patients’ activities of daily living and plan of care.

- Supports the activities of daily living to include bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, feeding, toileting/hygiene, and assisting with mobility and transport. Demonstrate standard precautions including the care of patients in isolation and safe patient practice.

- Performs registration in IDX for laboratory drop-off specimens.
- Monitors Ancillary Error Log - makes corrections in Health Quest, IDX or Lab Systems when required.
- Adds patient charges to Health Quest for miscellaneous test requests. Merges patient accounts in Sunquest.
- Add/deletes/modifies charges in Health Quest when requested by QA Manager and Admin Director.
- Provides support to Customer Service and Reference departments.
Provide pre-hospital Advanced Life Support (ALS) care in all weather conditions, in cooperation with other EMS providers as a member of the patient care team. Care will be rendered to patients of all ages whom experience any injury or illness, utilizing appropriate equipment and techniques to safely assess, treat, lift, move, and transport patients to appropriate medical facilities. Complete all required documentation and other assigned duties which support efficient EMS operations while maintaining a professional attitude.
