Evaluation, assessment and treatment of patients in the hospital or outpatient setting. Oversite of certified occupational therapist assistants, aides and front desk staff. Communication with patients, families and other members of the health care team.

Responsibilities include completing routine EKG procedures in accordance with the American Heart Association standards and department policies. Also performing cardiac stress tests and applying holter monitors. Comprehension of the principles of basic EKG; understanding and identifying basic cardiac arrhythmias.  Ability to troubleshoot problems, follow step by step instruction and guidelines for processing EKG's. Ability to coordinate and prioritize work assignments on a daily basis. Ability to communicate to supervisor, Cardiologist and coworkers' problems with patient, procedure or process of performing cardiac testing.

This position can work tray line, host/hostess, cafeteria, deli, cashier, salad bar, pizza, etc. Can act as runner and be responsible for restocking and cleanliness. Responsible for ensuring all stations are ready for operations, including accuracy, speed and having a sense of urgency. This includes setting up next shift for success. Daily cleaning of respective areas and a clean as you go policy to be enforced. Hosts/hostesses are responsible for requesting two patient identifiers (date of birth and full name of patient) and assisting patient with opening items if required.
