Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Advance Practice Nurse) for Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Applicant should be board-certified. Experienced candidates required (ICU, Neurosurgery, In-patient Neurology, Trauma, Surgery, Hospitalist, and/or Emergency Medicine) to meet the needs of this complex patient cohort. The Advance Practice Provider will manage neuro-critical care patients augmenting existing provider compliment of 2 Neurointensivists along with rotational Residents in Neurology and Neurosurgery. The Advance Practice Provider will provide coverage on days, overnights, weekends, and holidays. - full time nights optional.  The provider should be comfortable with reviewing imaging. Training will be provided to ensure optimal patient care. 

ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP) - Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant - Cardiology Outpatient - Cape Regional Medical Center    The Advanced Practice Provider - APP (Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant) assumes responsibility for providing advanced medical care practice within a clinical specialty and the scope of education. In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens advanced medical care practice and promotes positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include clinical practice, staff and patient education, and research. The Advanced Practice Provide serves as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.  

Performs essential duties related to one or more of the clinical subspecialties of Chemistry, Hematology, Blood Bank and Microbiology/Immunology based on shift. For Customer Service posting, performs essential duties related to reference lab test processing and resulting.

The Registered RN is a professional care-giver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary      health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a      designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the      nursing process including the therapeutic use of self.        Follows established policies and procedures.         Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors.         Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management      and physicians.         Applies Cooper core values.         Other duties as required.

Facilitates patient identification, screening, and enrollment for program eligibility. Monitors, manages, and addresses clinical pools and documents events in patients’ digital health record, escalates as appropriate. Support vital sign alerts. Collaborates with post-acute networks, community organizations, and vendors to facilitate care plan. Facilitates scheduling of imaging and laboratory testing. Help support care coordination, patient care needs, and navigation. Performs prior authorizations, medication refill requests, and pharmacy calls. Communicates with patients on test results at the providers discretion. Collaborates with health care team. Reinforces providers post visit instructions and serves as a resource for patients and caregivers as it relates to their scope of practice.  Patient and caregiver education. Maintains privacy and confidentiality for all patients.  Regularly attends in-services to further develop position and department. Assists interventionalists in all procedures within the scope of interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery to include but not limited to oncology, vascular and trauma. Skill set must be maintained to handle supplies/instrumentation associated with interventional procedures. Must be able to assist physicians in the capacity of both a scrub and circulating technologist. Maintains work area: Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies. Adheres to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed. Maintains licensure and BLS. Stays current and participates departmental training offered. Demonstrates courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co- workers/customers. Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external. Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow/care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport). Remains compliant of timekeeping rules: Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries. A Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements. Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications.

The Graduate Nurse (GN) is a professional caregiver who, as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and who supervises and provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process including the therapeutic use of self. The GN holds a temporary emergency RN license and shall be eligible to work only under supervision in an acute care facility licensed by the New Jersey Department of Health. Such supervision may be in the form of a preceptor relationship.     Additional Responsibilities: - Follows established policies and procedures. - Communicates openly with internal customers and supervisors. - Provides excellent customer service interfacing well with all levels of staff, management, and physicians. - Applies Cooper core values. - Other duties as required. The following tasks will not be performed by the GN: - Procedures not signed off by the RN preceptor or Clinical Educator that requires competency. - Direct or supervise other healthcare staff. - Make assignments for other staff.
