The Phlebotomy Technician is primarily responsible for collecting specimens for laboratory testing in the inpatient setting. Patients may range from newborn through older adults. Team members are assigned to various inpatient units based on volume and are expected to provide timely and accurate service.

In a CAP-accredited laboratory, perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing while ensuring accuracy and timely results through adherence to QC and QA methodologies.
