- Performs MRI procedures following the protocols established by the Radiologists.
- Begins studies, transfers images, documents patient history and completes studies in
GE IDX PACS system.
- Able to correctly apply MRI compatible monitoring system/IV infusion pump to patients
when necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills and communication skills needed to effectively orchestrate
daily workflow of patients.

JOB DESCRIPTION - ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER (APP) Per Diem - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Cardiology
Assume responsibility for Advanced Practice Provider within a clinical specialty. In consultation with other members of the health care team, strengthens nursing practice and promotes positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of patients, staff and patient education, and research. Serve as a significant member of the multidisciplinary health care team in the inpatient, outpatient and community settings.
Review every medication order and dosage for completeness, safety and efficacy prior to dispensing to an individual patient including routine, stat and investigational orders. Maintain drug information, investigational, educational, cost containment and clinical programs
- Assists in providing direct, indirect, and non-patient care responsibilities.
- Assumes responsibility for record keeping, intra-departmental and interdepartmental communications, written and electronic medical record keeping.
- Follow policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
- Record keeping responsibilities include documenting Snippets in GE Airstrip every four hours. Document patient’s rhythm interpretation and measure HR, PR, QRS and QT intervals when applicable for each patient monitored on telemetry.
- Use Telemetry Report Sheet to Document patient’s rhythm including ectopic events, rhythm changes.
